Updated: Dec 7, 2023

Easy 30-Minute Oven Baked Bacon!

So who here likes bacon? 🙋‍♂️ .... and apple cider? ME... and I'm pretty sure a majority of the world would agree. This Fall I'm bestowing upon you a recipe that consistently makes my mouth water. This is an anytime of day kind of food. Breakfast? Bacon. Lunch? Bacon. Snack time? BACON. You can enjoy this one all year round too so long as you have access to some apples! So without further adieu. Apple Cider Oven Baked Bacon. You're welcome.

Prepare for about a half hour of cook time and an hour of prep. We'll be using an entire package of bacon so I hope whoever you're making this for is hungry... spoiler alert, its you.

Ingredients

  • 1 Apple of choice, cored and sliced

  • 3 cups of Apple Cider. (I use the Swetango kind from Wegmans)

  • 2 Spoonfuls of Honey

  • 1 Pinch of Cinnamon

Let’s Get After It

Step 1: You're going to want to first Core an apple and slice it into strips. The thickness does matter a little, but it's really up to your preference how thick you want them. We just cut the entire apple into strips and then took a small frosting tip to core out each piece.

Step 2: Grab a baking pan and throw your bacon in there. Pour in your apple cider and let that sit for an hour or so. While you wait you can preheat your oven to 400°F.

Step 3: Once your bacon has marinated for a bit, remove them from the pan and place your wire rack over the leftover juice.

Step 4: Place your bacon on top of the wire rack and season to your liking with Salt and Pepper.

Step 5: Place that bacon in the oven for about 15 minutes. After 15 minutes, you'll want to flip the strips over and put your apple slices around the wire rack as well. Bake for another 15 minutes and take them out!

Step 6: Once everything is to your liking, take some cinnamon and lightly dust your apple slices. After that take your honey and mix in some cinnamon.

Step 7: Plate your bacon and drizzle that cinnamon honey mixture over it.

Step 8: *Mouth watering*

FIN

Easy right? I mean listen, bacon is good on its own, but why not elevate it some with this easy addition! Like I said before it is an every time of day food. I like to live by some famous words spoken by the very wise Nick Jonas...
