Dark, Rich And Full Of Punch, These Little Treats Are Loved A Bunch. It Only Takes One To Fall In Love, It Makes This Treat A Cut Above. Dark Chocolate And Rum You Can't Deny, But On It's Scrumptious Taste You Can Rely!

*** This recipe contains uncooked Alcohol and should not be consumed by anyone under the age of 21. Please Eat Responsibly. These things will knock your socks off ***
Ingredients
6oz pkg. semi sweet chocolate chips
1 cup sugar (Half to mix and Half to roll)
1/3 cup rum of choice (If you don't like rum whisky works too!)
3 Tbsp light corn syrup
2 cups crushed finely vanilla wafers
1 cup chopped walnuts (optional)
The HOW
All you will need is one large bowl, one med bowl and one small bowl. Measuring spoons and cups also help a ton here!
In a food processor crush wafers finely and add to large bowl.
Crush walnuts to small chunks and add to the same bowl (optional for nut lovers).
Add both together and mix.
Add 1/2 cup sugar and corn syrup and mix well in the large bowl.
Pour chocolate chips in medium bowl.
Microwave 1 min, take out and stir. If chocolate is not melted through reheat for another 15-20 seconds. (All microwaves are different... Use your discretion)
Once melted, pour into the large mixture.
NOW FOR THE MOST FUN STEP!!!!!!!! ADD YOUR RUM!
Take your small bowl and add the last 1/2 cup sugar
Time to scoop your Batty Balls! (If you have a melon scoop, those work the best here. It makes them uniform, but if you don't have one just a regular teaspoon will do)
Roll the scooped ball in your hands then drop in the sugar and roll around till coated.
When all the balls are coated, you will want to put them in a container with a good seal. Do not refrigerate.
Contrary to the title, you probably shouldn't run after having a few of these Batty Balls! Though these are a perfect addition to any party! Please eat responsibly!!
